- •Clinical Patient Care is the largest domain (about 56%): vital sign normal ranges, infection control and hand hygiene, CPR/BLS, the CLSI order of draw for phlebotomy, and 12-lead EKG placement. Master these first.
- •Get the clinical numbers exact: normal vital-sign ranges, CPR rate (100–120/min) and depth, the rights of medication administration, and controlled-substance schedules. A wrong clinical value is a wrong answer — and can harm a patient.
- •Budget your time: 180 questions in 3 hours is about 1 minute each. 30 of the 180 are unscored pretest items (unlabeled), so answer every question — you cannot tell which ones count.
