🗂️ Exam administration by state

Insurance producer licensing is administered state by state. California gives the Life & Health producer exam as a combined 150-question test (75 Life + 75 Accident & Health, 60% to pass) through PSI — and, unusually, offers it in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean. Always confirm current fees, prelicensing hours and rules with the California Department of Insurance before you register.

Fees vary and change often (shown as “to confirm” where not yet verified from an official source). Real written-test languages are the languages a state's official candidate bulletin confirms — study aids in other languages do not change the official exam languages. Confirm current fees, prelicensing hours, scheduling and rules with your state's department of insurance or its testing vendor before you register.
