Nail Technician (Manicurist) in Arizona

Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board

Arizona licenses nail technicians through the Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board. Unlike most states it does not use PSI — the exam program is run by Professional Credential Services (PCS), scheduled and delivered through IQT, using National-Interstate Council (NIC) content. There are two required exams: a Theory (written) exam of 110 items (100 scored) in 90 minutes, and a written practical exam; you need a score of 75 to pass. You must complete 600 hours of nail-technician training. Arizona's official candidate handbook makes no mention of any exam language other than English, so we do not claim a Spanish exam — our multilingual practice questions are a study aid. You can reschedule online after receiving your official score notice.

State rules and fees change often. This table shows only facts confirmed from an official board or vendor source on the date noted; anything unconfirmed is marked “to confirm.” Always verify current requirements with your state board or its testing vendor before you register. Our practice questions are a study aid and never imply your state offers the exam in a language it does not.
