Nevada runs the cosmetology exam through Pearson VUE for the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology, and — like its nail exam — it is a genuine five-language state: the official handbook confirms the written exam is delivered in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese for all license types, so you can sit the real written test in Vietnamese (or Korean, Spanish, or Chinese). The cosmetologist theory exam has 100 scored items (of 120) in 120 minutes, 75% to pass, plus a practical exam and a separate 25-question Nevada law exam. You need 1,600 school hours (or a 3,200-hour apprenticeship).
