CNA — Certified Nursing Assistant in Massachusetts
MA Dept. of Public Health
Massachusetts offers the CNA written test in four languages — English, Spanish, Chinese, and (since December 2, 2024) Haitian Creole — administered by D&S–Headmaster. Unlike most states' pass/fail scoring, MA publishes a concrete cut score: 76% to pass the written portion. Fees are among the lowest in the country: $30 knowledge + $70 skills ($100 combined). Attempts: 4 on the knowledge test, 3 on the skills evaluation. Oversight: the MA Department of Public Health.

Vendors, fees, pass marks and language options vary by state and change over time — fields marked “To confirm” are not yet source-verified, and you should always confirm with your state's nurse aide registry before testing. We never imply you can take the exam in a language your state does not actually offer.
