CNA — Certified Nursing Assistant in Massachusetts

Massachusetts offers the CNA written test in four languages — English, Spanish, Chinese, and (since December 2, 2024) Haitian Creole — administered by D&S–Headmaster. Unlike most states' pass/fail scoring, MA publishes a concrete cut score: 76% to pass the written portion. Fees are among the lowest in the country: $30 knowledge + $70 skills ($100 combined). Attempts: 4 on the knowledge test, 3 on the skills evaluation. Oversight: the MA Department of Public Health.
